Details
Renowned textile maker Maharam has reissued a total of 20 patterns by Alexander Girard under its Textiles of the 20th Century™ series, dedicated to honoring great multidisciplinary designers of the past by faithfully reissuing their fabrics, including Lanalux (1970). It features an extra-smooth feel thanks to its fine-micron wool fashioned into yarns of uneven thickness that are used in the warp and weft to produce a chunky, homespun texture. Fabric made in the U.K.

Alexander Girard
During his career, Alexander Girard energized the furniture designs of Herman Miller with a new, vibrant color palette and an oeuvre of folk-inspired textiles. He was the first modern designer to define textiles as being more than just functional and to further emphasize form through the application of color and pattern.
