The Swedish designer based the ottoman’s circular form on woven-straw Lapp handicrafts from the Arctic Circle region where she grew up. Poltrona Frau’s artisans have adapted the plissé technique from Chesterfield sofas to carefully handstitch overlapping segments of leather or fabric radiating out from the center like a sunburst.
